On August 25, port traders reflected that the recent price increase of yarn below 16 counts in Pakistan was 150-200 yuan/ton, mainly due to the impact of Pakistani port workers' strike, which caused different degrees of price increase in some Chinese ports, but the price of yarn above 32S was not affected. Port import yarn inventory continued to grow slightly compared with the previous period, with the total amount at around 80,000 tons. They were mainly concentrated in several ports, including Guangzhou, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Zhangjiagang and Tianjin.
The quantity of imported yarn at Guangzhou port was about 18,000 tons, about 0.2 million tons less than half a month ago. The main source countries and regions are India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Pakistan, Malaysia, China Taiwan, etc.

The quantity of imported yarn at Zhangjiagang was about 15,000 tons, basically flat compared with half a month ago. The main source countries and regions were India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Uzbekistan.
The quantity of imported yarn at Shanghai port was about 17,000 tons, about 15,000 tons more than half a month ago, with the main source countries and regions India, Pakistan, and the United States.
The quantity of imported yarn in Tianjin port is about 0.5 million tons, little change from half a month ago, with main source countries and regions Pakistan, India.
Up to now, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Zhangjiagang, Shanghai port and other ports have higher inventory pressure. Recently, port traders of foreign yarns have increased their concessions, and the gap between quotation and transaction price has reached 200-300 yuan/ton, individual traders grasp to dump goods, and some B and B-grade yarns with slightly poor quality and bad testing index have dropped by 400-500 yuan/ton, but the quotation of Indo-Pakistani and Indonesian yarns with better quality is slightly stable. The concession space is about 200 yuan/ton.
